Although data loss is rare it is vitally important you back up your data regularly. We recomend you should backup your PearlPlus daily, either to a removable device which should be kept off site or using our online backup facility. Even if you run a separate backup regime we still strongly suggest the pearlplus backup tool should be used to backup your PearlPlus data.
To perform a backup simply start the PearlPlus Backup Icon on your desktop
Insert a memory stick, wait for the computer to recognise it the drive should become selectable from the Memory Stick Drive Letter drop down menu. Ideally 5 separate drives should be used in turn for each day of the week, so any potential data loss can be absolutely minimised. If you wish to omit the patient document folder (not recomended) uncheck the Backup "Documents" folder box.
Once started please be patient, backup up can take several minutes, especially if you store a large number of documents such as xrays, patient consent forms etc.
If the backup fails to finish or displays an error message contact us as soon as possible to help resolve the problem.
