NHS Treatment Plan

 As with a private treatment episode select Make New Episode and select the dentist performing the treatment. This defauts to the patient's dentist and today's date.

NB: The patient's selected dentist and Patient status must both have NHS enabled.

 

Following the work flow from top to bottom, as in a private treatment, first chart new defects.

 

While in Chart Proposal(s) mode, new charted treatments are automatically created here. If No default 'Examination' on TP is left unchecked an examination is added to every episode: see Adding a Practitioner.

 

 

Click to manually add a non-chartable treatment such as an X-ray or Examination. If adding a non listed item use the fields at the bottom ensuring that the FP17 Band/Form Type, FP17DC Category and FP17Part5A are assigned correctly

 

Once in Tick Work Done mode, manually check Done boxes for each treatment, or use this button to mark all treatments as completed.

 

 

Once treatment has been carried out select Bill done items to generate a bill for the applicable NHS treatments. If an item has already been manually billed, check the Billed box to prevent a new bill being generated.

If all proposed treatment has been finished select Close the finished Treatment Plan.

If the treatment was emergancy work deselect Update Patient last treatment date/s to leave the patient's recall date unaffected.

To automatically transfer details to a new FP17 claim form check Create automatic FP17 from treatment plan.

 

If the patient's Exemption is left blank or set to No Exemption a new bill for the NHS charge is generated when Bill Done Items is pressed.
